VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland is the largest multitechnological applied research organization in Northern Europe. VTT provides high-end technology solutions and innovation services. VTT has a personnel of 3200 and turnover of 300 M€.
VTT provides, in addition to basic research activities, a wide range of technology and applied research services for companies, institutions, and the public sector. Related to smart systems, VTT supplies R&D services in the fields of high performance microsystems, printed electronics and intelligence and sensing solutions. VTT has long background in MEMS, RF, optical, thin film and printed component, circuit, and system development mostly in industrial, European Space Agency, EU, and nationally funded projects. VTT has state-of-the-art measurement systems for microwave/mm-wave characterization, including on-wafer and cryogenic test systems. VTT has a class 10 clean room area of 2600 m2, in addition to class 100-1000 rooms. Main processes are MEMS and BiCMOS fabrication.
